I think the likliness of the world 'ending' at the hands of our creator is extremley likley, I beleive it will be triggered off in a short period of time somewhere in the near future. One day I think thw world will be too grotesque to dwell in, domesticly, socially and physiclly. And there will have to be a stop. And I beleive that is when Armegedon will start.
Reading Revelations scares me everytime. Though it is interesting of what will happen, It scares me to beleive the end of time will ACTUALLY happen!
The vision of when John saw people trying to commit suicide but the people were not allowed to die in the 3 months shocked me. It must be eternal torture like that.
But when you look at the things going around today, you have to think to yourself if you will be willing to go through Armegedon just so the people can repent for their mistakes but are given torture.
It is a little sadistic, but people like BinLaden, and all these thugs in the street, I would be willing to go through Armegedonn if it means coming out with salvation, and seeing those people burn in the firey furnace we call hell.
I DO beleive theres going to be an armegedon, but the bible states not even Jesus knows when Armegedon will happen, it is only in the mind of God himself.

I apologise in advance for any unintentional offence created and various typos and missing words
Yeahhh.. that's exactly what confuses me about the Christian God. Now personally, I'm not Christian, namely because it doesn't feel right to me. Not to say I don't respect God and Jesus or that I'll never become a Christian myself, but I just feel I need some sort of proof, be it physical or just something that goes off inside of me, y'know. But enough background information. Yes, there will be some form of end to the Earth, no one can possibly doubt that and remain credible, but as to why a god, of any faith, would destroy his own thriving creation like that puzzles me. Admittedly, I know I'm not supposed to be capable of fathoming the massive depth that is the logic of God, but quite frankly, it still just doesn't seem right. Is God not supposed to love all his children? I have read Revelations, and frankly, I don't see much love. Not to say that God is by any means a hypocrite. Far from it. I just don't see why a being that loves everyone would give people noisome and grievous sores and give us nothing but blood to drink. But maybe that's just me. I also lack to see how the world has become so grotesque that it needs destroying any time soon. In fact I'd say the world is very tame compared to what was happening hundred and thousands of years ago. The Romans equivalent of television was putting people inside a big stadium and killing them. A person's life depended solely on whether the Caesar was in a good mood or not. Upon the opening of Huitzliopochtli's great pyramid in Tenochtitlan, the Aztecs sacrificed over 20000 people over a four day period. Whilst colonising Australia, the British believed that the Aboriginal race would just kill itself out because of it's Darwinist beliefs. When this didn't happen they decided it would be fun to perform a subtle case of genocide and breed the Aboriginality out of them. What's the worst we have today? Jamster? Terrorism? Yes, terrorism is bad, but you'll find they have their reasons for doing so, and good reasons at that. They're sick of America performing it's self-appointed owner of the world duties and various oppressive leaders being generally nasty. It's not like "Oh heck, I'm bored, I'll just go strap a bomb to myself and take out this bus". No one seems to care that America often enjoys painting the landscape with the blood of the innocent just so they -might- hit the right thing. All they're doing is living in fear of a non-capitalist-democratic world instilled within them since circa 1940, which proves constantly to be a bad thing for anyone else. And yes, we do have thugs and hoons with likes for blowing up letterboxes, but honestly, these people are in the minority. A very tiny minority. And this only applies to the Western world. Should the entire world be punished just because of a few floozies with loose morals? Think of the Mongols who do not much other than herd their animals back and forth. Should they be attacked with God's wrath-wine for no reason other than owning goats? I'd say it's a long, long time before the world becomes too grotesque to handle. Yes, without a doubt there are sickos, but just because everyone isn't a good samaritan deserving of the key to the city, doesn't make them bad people. People aren't gullible sycophants like the were in the 50s. They don't do hardcore drugs or become harlots 'cause all the cool kids are doing it. All they need, on most occasions, is a little help. Just like no one truely aspires to be a thug. Sure, I would love to be part of the O-ren Ishii's Crazy 88, but that doesn't mean I, or any other well groomed youth would join the yakuza because of it. thugs are thugs because it's all they know. They don't deserve eternal torment and brimstone just because they were raised in a pro-thug community. Again, it seems to make no sense. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I make no sense. Maybe I'm not seeing where you're coming from. Maybe I should have never clicked the most recent post part. But I do stand by what I say, and will most likely never see a good enough reason to take out the entire world's population, let alone believe that it will happen. It all just seems most like oppressive medieval propaganda used to frighten the masses. I refuse to see the Christian god as wrathful and vengeant, that's not what I was taught in scripture. Yes there are things wrong in the world. But surely, is it really so bad that it must end?
ps. Even more apologises for offences and my general heresy and if I somehow managed to pick on you in general or something and stuff. Oh, and extra apologies if you actually made it this far.

Most likely there will be, but it will come from our own demise. WE, HUMANITY, are our own worst enemy. This has been proven time and time again. It's only a matter of time before we truly destroy ourselves.

You got any theories of how it might start?
My one is that America one day or another will become so annoyed with people fighting over religion that it will try to ban it, and thats when Armageddons triggered off,
I do have other theories, but lets hear some of other peeps as well

Nuclear War. Hey, we keep building these fucking time bombs, it's only a matter of time before a terrorist takes them and detonates them.

That's because it is human nature to be selfish.
Case in point, we overuse our resources without searching nearly hard enough for more suitable replacements.
We've eliminated species of animals.
We've practically eliminated the largest forest in the world. (Rain Forest)
We're horribly over-populated.
Yes my friends, evolution has chosen us to be the end of all.

haha, nicley said Ex, but with the increase of CO2 and the decrease of forests etc, one has to think if mankind will evolve to be adapted to living on CO2 and living in hot conditions, but I guess that type of evolution could take millions of years so we'd be dead by that time, so I guess Red has a very good point,
Oil is gunna run out very soon, in about 20 years, and they've only JUST come up with the idea of Hydrogen powered veihcles, when people were saying that years ago, but my teacher told me that they've got plenty of resorces to live without oil, but it WOULD be a problem for heating, travelling on planes, foods.....

again like red said it is in human nature to be selfish. thats why evelution almost always means a bad thing. like you saide chaos the veichels moving by hidrogen or h2o(water) are a idea whit almost 7 years, but we dont care cause we still have petrol and oil. wen this 2 run out we will be in a run for new tipes of things that can power the cars motors. but it will be too late in that time

Even if we have space technology what then? Go to another planet, use up all it's resources and then move onto another?
We'd be little more than parasites.

actualy red we can do nothing abaut that. all we can do is slow down the process. even if we tried harder(as we should) the resorces will alaways end so.... just hope that the universe in infinit like the sintists say
