DBZ has been licensed for a pretty long time (I remember a friend of mine talking about how awesome it was back in middleschool, like eight years ago), whereas bittorrent is still fairly recent. General lack of broadband would have also prevented sufficient distribution of fansubs over the internet. Not to say there weren't any fansubs - But it was generally done on VHS.

Well, one question, if Dattebayo and Aone get caught or sewed, what will happen then?

Companies generally give out 'cease and desist' letters before persuing legal retribution.... It helps to prevent building up 'bad blood' among potential customers. Something Tecmo should've considererd before going out and throwing lawsuites at people.

The owners of a website I frequented that made mods (like skins and such) for games like DoA and SoulCalibur. I guess they took offense to the fact that people might want to replace their stock skins with custom ones, or something. -_-
