IMO It's Real Media,
I've liked it ever since I can remember I was a computer freak, It's better than WMP, and it puts up pretty good fight with WinAmp IMHO

*hates everything having to do with RM*
I use Winamp (with an arseload of input plugins) for my music, since in my opinion its the best player for dealing with playlists the size of new york. For movies, I use Media Player Classic, an open source minimalistic player that rocks my socks.

I use Winamp I also have a lot of plug-ins for it not only that I have a lot of skins for it too. I use the presets a lot too it makes music sound better if you change the presets. Like most vgm sounds good on soft and since I usually listen to metal/rock when I'm not listening to vgm is set the preset to rock. If anyone uses Winamp, but doesn't use preset use them now it really does make the music sound better. As for my video player I use VLC Player it plays all your standard extensions mpg, mpeg, divx, avi, etc. It also plays the weird video extensions that most torrent movies come in ogm. Not only that it can play mkv. very easy to use also. booo would happen to know where I can get a mpc. plug-in for Winamp?

MPC is it's own program. The GUI is based off the old, old windows media player (before it got turned into bloatware). It (as well as other programs made by the same group) can be found at sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/

Winamp ownz all!!!!!!
Hey, did I hear right or do my firneds deceive me,
I heard Microsoft got sued [tell me something I dont know] by real media and quicktime becasue PC's already come with WMP and there is no need for people to download any more media players when they already got one,
So I heard from now on when you buy new PC's, the salesperson has to ask whether you'd like WMP installed with it.
My PC came with WMP installed but I asked my Dad and he said he HAD to get it done, whether the people in the PC shop are loosers and dont know its already pre installed is another story,
let me know on this
oh and another thing, Jet Audio also Ownz

I used to use winamp. but i tried WMP, and found it was a lot faster at searching, esapecially with big libraries.
I dont like how they all have so many features. I really could care less if my media player could play tv and radio, or search online music. I just want to play music & the occaisonal video

foorbar2000 = Great music player.
Gave it a try after Winamp started to choke on my playlist (bit large) and never went back.
