Ur site is really slow! i dont really like going on it much because its to slow, and some new guests might not come for the same reason!
I think u need to delete old posts that no one talks on. that way the site will be much smaller and faster!
well, that is all

proboards (and other similar sites) tend to be abysmally slow. Comes with the fact that they're free and all that.

I don't think it would be worth the trouble. As for speeding up the site... Blame proboards for any slowdown you might have, since they're the ones hosting the site, and there are forums with ten times the posts that this one has, without any slowdown to speak of.

well lordzownage has about 2000 posts on it after a bit of deleting (cyclone has 6000), and it seems to be working very quickly. its a bit of a small forum, but i prefer to go on it just because i can use it quickly. as you can see, i have about 10 post on cyclone forums, and 650 on lorzownage. it takes a while just to reply to something, and its slow so i dont come here much. it could be turning away other guests. also u said that its not worth the time to delete the posts. In the admin area, there is an option that allows you to delete old posts. you can choose how old of post u want to delete. no one goes on these threads anyway, so there is no point in keeping them!!! lol my fingers hurt.

Your board and this board are on different servers (51 and 31 respectively), which could very well explain the supposed difference in speed (though I might add that every page here loads instantly for me).
In regards to load time turning new people away, if someone can't wait 10-20 seconds to post, chances are in my opinion that they probably don't have anything really super important to say in the first place.
I know all about automatic pruning. I don't like habitually removing each and every slightly old thread that appears because some people (myself included) like being able to look back on their old posts and laugh at their own idiocy.
At any rate, is anyone else experiencing abnormally slow loading times?

nope, the loading is netural and fine with me to cloudx's post - I think we will remove it, i just need to get Zopharx's opinion first

if there are threads that you would like to look back at and remember, you could make a board for threads that you want to keep. you just have to move threads to that board.

Or we could take the much more time efficient route and just leave things as they are. Why fix that which isn't broken, and such? At any rate, it doesn't truly matter to me what whoever decides things here decides to do, as I'm just giving my input as to why I consider needless things to be needless.

I agree to that, we should leave everything the way it is, that way we might not have more problems.
