Homosexuality can be seen as both right or wrong.
The Bible forbids the act which means it is wrong in the eyes of the church.
This is what I first thought before the gay preist incidents.
I personally feel Homosexuality is wrong. My reason for this is because if God wanted to, he'd just create men. But he gave us women. Im not einstein, but Im pretty sure he did it for a reason.
I think it is morally wrong as well as spiritually.
The gay priest incident showed that the Anglican church were utter hypocrites.
They come to Africa and Asia from Jolly Old England to teach us their beleifs. We accepted them and embraced their acts as one of our own.
Then you get the Anglican Church saying 2 Gay men can be married, and one of them I beleive is a priest. I was totally enraged with utter fury. They thought us their beleifs, and now they go doing something they are against.
I had a conversation with a gay on MSN, it was an accident that I found out he was. But after asking him questions, I did feel sympathetic towards him. He stated you dont know when you are gay until a certain age. For him it was 13. He said he never really found girls attractive during his childhood.
Maybe it is a mental disoreder that some males do not like females and the outcome of the scenario is a homosexual.
I still beleive it is a wrong act(s) and Homosexuality is forbidden in the Bible.

Personally, I don't care for the use of the words right and wrong. They're very blunt words with very blurred meaning depending on who you are. Not belonging to the Christian faith or any faith for that matter, I find homosexuality to be unnatural. I feel that homosexuality originated as a faulty gene, that because of various society's norms which force said peoples to procreate, the gene is passed on, when it shouldn't be. And since this gene generally hinders procreation, it goes against the order, thus making it unnatural. As for these gay priests, I personally find they shouldn't be part of a faith that doesn't condone their actions. Religions have rules, and if you don't want to follow the rules, why be in it? If you really want to worship the same god, form another branch, or make a new religion altogether that still worships that god, for example Judaism and Baha'i worship the same god as the Christians do, only with noticeably different beliefs and dogmas. What I do find wrong however is if one were to hate said peoples because they liked the same sex. I personally believe that homosexuality isn't something that can be cured, be it bad genetics or a mental disorder, and thus should be treated that way. Would you hate a person instantaneously because they were haemophilic or insomniaic? No, most likely not (feel free to ignore my prejudice). Hate the person because they have the kind of personality you don't like. You all know you want to do that. Secretly.

I don't think that homosexuality is wrong but then again I'm not religious. And I am not gay so I can't really see that it's wrong or right. I Don't see that it see that the same sex marriages need to be stoped, but then again I don't see a need for them. So I'm a in beetween party I guess.

I don't care about homosexuals either way. They can do what they want (though according to my personal beliefs it might not be a good idea for them to ), doesn't really matter much to me. My take on the gay marriage debate: Marriage is a traditionally religious institution - It should not be tampered with, period.

yeah, its not for us to judge whether they are sinning, after all, we are alll sinners, and in the words of my main man Jesus
'Those without sin cast the first stone!!!'
and Gear Ultima you are wrong, the Bible condems Gays
Leviticus 18:22: "You shall not lie with a male as those who lie with a female; it is an abomination."
Leviticus 20:13: "If a man lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination and they shall surely be put to death."
Romans 1:26-27: "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions: for their women exchanged the natural use for that which is against nature. And in the same way also the men abandoned the natural use of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error."
I Corinthians 6:9: "The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. So do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the realm of God."
I Timothy 1:9-10: "Law is not made for a righteous person but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and fornicators and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound (healthy) teaching."
So yup, The bible condems it indeed, and has very big punishments for the peeps who be practisin it, but like I said, who are we to judge

you know as well as we do that God didn't order it, is he responsible for murders that happen? is he responsible for rapes, or any of the other sort, NO is the answer, the bible only tells us what God thinks is right, with that we have free will, and that is obviously our downfall, Man is too sucked into money,
The Bible simply foretells whats gunna happen,
Dont tell me it aint true, because everyday, the world gets worse, more killings and more issues,
Homosexuality isn't the worst thing in the bible, of course there are worse things, but its the principal of it. I cant understand how a boy likes another boy sexually, I just cant get it through my head.

K. The following is a very important component of Christianity - Catholic or otherwise. Humans have free will. Any torture or murder commited by a member or member(s) of the church is their own doing, it is their own choice. God ordered nothing. The Germans killed quite a few Jewish people in WW2, does that mean we should still hate Germany?

"yep they kiled them but they were in a war"
How does that involve the countless civilians who were killed and/or tortured?
"and they dont killed them only for been of other religion but also because of hitler theory of the *perfect men*"
I fail to see the difference. To me, mass murder is mass murder - If you're going to harbor hatred for the catholic church because of what they did back in the day, you should also harbor hatred for.....
• Americans (we did kill a large quantity of native americans) • Brittish folk (if I had to guess, I'd say that a large portion of their colonies were not established via pacifistic means) • Iraqis (Saddam was a bit of a jerk) • Japanese (though not discussed quite as often as their german buddies, Japan had it's own fair share of rude behavior)
There are countless other examples, however its about three AM, and I'm bloody tired. At any rate. my point is this: Just as we cannot hold the son responsible for the crimes of his father, we should not hold the current incarnation of a country/group responsible for crimes that were committed far into the past by his or her forerunners.

hey zop. all that i need to say is:hate the lider. the fault is of the guy that order it all. in the case of ww2-hitler and in the *religiouse hunt*-churce. ever heard of salazar?Probably not, well it was a dictator here in portugal at 35 years ago.he was known in all world for his *theory*.(those ho dont obey me must be kild* well my grandfather was in jail four times just cause he dont like to obey. but that guy have done big deeds.evil?yes, but big. but at the 7 year of his *carear* the people revolted and 30 mens of his own army kiled him. conclusion:hate and respect are to diferent things but most of the times they come togueder . like this man salazar, hitler or god those that hate god can respect him at the same. (this doesnt mean i do but..... i do)

Okay. Blame he who orders the act. So in this case, we blame whoever was the pope (name escapes me at the moment) back several hundred years ago. I agree with this, as I too blame him for all the ill shit that went on back then. Oh, you mean blame God. So you're saying we should blame God for the actions of man? How is that different from blaming the father for the crimes of his son?
